27th Annual Central Piedmont Emergency Services College

Safe Air Systems, Inc., has attended the 27th Annual Central Piedmont Emergency Services College at the Davidson County Community College, Lexington, NC, February 18 – 20, 2011.

Safe Air Systems, Inc., showed at the 27th Annual Central Piedmont Emergency Services College. So come see us at our Booth Space, at the 27th Annual Central Piedmont Emergency Services College in Lexington, NC. Also held at the Davidson County Community College, during the 27th Annual Central Piedmont Emergency Services College, was a NEW event for Family & Kids. This year there was fire prevention activities for children that took place Saturday, February 19th. The Davidson County Fire Marshal’s office and DCCC offered demonstrations of Fire Prevention Techniques, Stop, Drop & Roll and a display featuring the “Smoke House.”

Dean VanNest SCBA Rupture

On Sunday May 2, 1999, Firefighter Dean VanNest at Summerfield Fire Department (Summerfield, NC) experienced something that few firefighters will ever experience. While performing his normal duties he was recharging a 2216 SCBA bottle. As the bottle reached the 1000 to 1500 psi range, Dean heard a noise

similar to a bleed valve leaking. As he reached for the fill knob, to stop the filling procedure and attend to the apparent problem, the SCBA bottle ruptured. read more…
