TRI-ESTER BASED COMPRESSOR LUBRICANT

Applications: Chemlube 800 is a high viscosity synthetic lubricant formulated from a highly stable tri-ester base fluid. Chemlube 800 is designed for use in reciprocating compressors under adverse conditions of high temperature and high pressure.

Chemlube 800 is recommended for reciprocating compressors and vacuum pumps using the following gases:
Air Butadiene Carbon Dioxide (dry) Furnace (crack) Gas, Ethylene Natural Gas Helium Hydrogen, Methane Synthesis Gas Hydrogen Sulfide (dry) Sulphur Hexafluoride, Propane Carbon Monoxide Nitrogen, Nominal Operating Range is -15°C to 230°C (5°F to 445°F)

Typical Industrial Applications: Reciprocating Compressors, High Pressure Breathing Air Compressors, Vacuum Pumps, Gear Boxes, Chains

Performance Benefits: Outstanding thermal and oxidative stability, Will not varnish or form carbon deposits, Excellent heat transfer characteristics, Low volatility and low toxicity, Caution: May affect some paint finishes, plastics and seals.

Compressor Oil (Synthetic) – Chemlube 500, Part# 65-500

DIESTER-BASED COMPRESSOR LUBRICANTS

Applications: The Chemlube diester-based fluids are full synthetic compressor lubricants specially formulated with premium synthetic ester base stocks for use in a wide variety of air compressors. Chemlube 501 is designed from diester base oils for reciprocating compressors and are recommended for High Pressure Breathing Air Compressors.

Chemlube 501 is recommended for reciprocating compressors and vacuum pumps using the following gases: Air, Butadiene, Carbon Dioxide (dry), Furnace (crack) Gas, Ethylene, Natural Gas, Helium, Hydrogen, Methane, Synthesis Gas, Hydrogen Sulfide (dry), Sulphur Hexafluoride, Propane, Carbon Monoxide, NitrogenNominal Operating Range is -15°C to 230°C (5°F to 445°F)

Mobil Pegasus Special 15W-40Bauer CNG Compressor Oil (Petroleum) – Part# OIL-0021/GAL

PETROLEUM BASED CNG COMPRESSOR LUBRICANT

 

Applications:

OIL-0021/GAL BAUER COMPRESSOR OIL (Petroleum) is used for CNG Bauer Compressors. Mobil Pegasus Special 15W-40.

 

Mobil Pegasus Special CF is a high quality SAE 15W-40 gas engine oil primarily intended for the lubrication of crankcases and power cylinders of spark-ignited two- and four-cycle gas-fueled engines. It is ideally suited for engines subjected to a wide range of ambient temperatures during startup and operation. This oil is uniquely formulated to be “Catalyst Friendly” and to meet the needs of engines with catalytic exhaust systems and stringent air emission requirements. It is also recommended for the lubrication of the cylinders and crankcases of reciprocating compressors processing clean natural gas. Pegasus Special CF is formulated from high quality base oils and a balanced ashless detergent additive system. It is designed to provide excellent protection of engine and compressor components while reducing combustion chamber deposits in all engines and port carboning in two-cycle engines. Pegasus Special CF exhibits a high level of chemical stability and resistance to oxidation and nitration to help provide long oil life and lower filter replacement costs.

Mobil Pegasus Special CF has excellent anti-corrosion properties, which helps prevent corrosive wear in cylinders, valve areas and bearings resulting in longer engine life. The anti-wear properties helps minimize wear of rings, liners, and bearings.

 

Features and Benefits

 

Mobil Pegasus Special CF provides excellent low temperature performance providing faster lubricant supply to critical engine components particularly under cold start conditions. It provides good engine cleanliness while maintaining low wear rates which could result in improved engine performance, reduced maintenance costs and improved production capacity. Pegasus Special CF exhibits excellent chemical and oxidation stability resulting in long drain periods and reduced filter costs. Its excellent ashless detergency technology reduces deposit formation in combustion chambers and in two-cycle engine ports resulting in lower maintenance costs while improving engine performance and reducing fuel costs. Mobil Pegasus Special CF is specially formulated to work with a variety of emission control systems including the latest two cycle, lean burn oxidizing converter systems designed to meet the MACT (Maximum Achievable Control Technolgy) requirements of the US EPA Clean Air Act.

Dean VanNest SCBA Rupture

On Sunday May 2, 1999, Firefighter Dean VanNest at Summerfield Fire Department (Summerfield, NC) experienced something that few firefighters will ever experience. While performing his normal duties he was recharging a 2216 SCBA bottle. As the bottle reached the 1000 to 1500 psi range, Dean heard a noise

similar to a bleed valve leaking. As he reached for the fill knob, to stop the filling procedure and attend to the apparent problem, the SCBA bottle ruptured. read more…
